About Mrs. Dark
Name: Lisa Dark
Childhood: I grew up in Alexander City and attended school here in this system. I was a student in 5th and 6th grade at Radney, so I feel blessed to be able to teach in one of the schools I attended!
Education: I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Management from Auburn University and a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education from Alabama State University.
Family: I am happily married to Dwayne Dark. We have two daughters, April and Abby. April graduated from Auburn University and is currently a special education teacher at W.F. Barnes Middle School in Valley, and Abby graduated BRHS and is now attending AUM where she is pursuing a degree in nursing. We also have 5 cats and 1 dog. We are active members of First United Methodist Church in Alexander City. I am a team captain for the Feast of Sharing ministry at church.
Interests: Reading, Auburn football, shopping, running, participating in 5K's, biking, watching soccer games, gardening, and of course, TEACHING! During the summer and our school breaks, I volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and I substitute teach at Jacob's Ladder.

1. Chairman of the United Way campaign for Radney School (5 years)
2. Member of the Building Leadership Team
3. Language Department Head
4. Supervisor of the After-school Success Center
5. Member of the Alexander City School System's Curriculum Committee
6. Adjunct professor for Auburn University, Montgomery- mentor teacher program for interns
7. Past member of the Academic Roundtable
